Katrina Majewski has been on the Executive Committee since 2014, holding a Director seat as co-chair of the Emerging Professionals Group and as Secretary. Through promotion on social media, The Emerging Professionals group brings together landscape architects with less than 10 years of experience to participate in networking events. Katrina has organized and hosted monthly happy hours/networking events and quarterly field trips, ranging from guided walking tours to office visits.
As a member of the PR/Communications team, Katrina took part in the PR/Communications Summit in Charleston, SC where she was able to connect and bring new ideas and innovations back to Northern California.
As an executive committee member, Katrina aims to focus chapter and organizational relationships with emerging professionals and questioning professionals (those wavering in career direction), while continuing to advocate for the environment and creating active and fun ways to network. Katrina is a landscape architect with a strong interest in maintaining and improving environmental quality and championing innovative planning and design strategies in the fields of environmental planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Katrina’s experience emphasizes her desire to rejuvenate the connection between people and place. Katrina is a graduate of the Landscape Architecture program at Rutgers University, holds her LEED Green Associate accreditation and is currently sitting for her PLA registration exams.
