Landscape Architect/Project Manager
A Landscape Architecture Project Manager is responsible for oversight and scheduling of all aspects of work within a project team including review of work at all project stages, coordination with discipline leaders, and management of project activities. Effective communication with clients, sub-consultants, and local & state regulatory agencies is required. The successful candidate will work in collaborative and integrated teams of professionals that include civil engineers, architects, land surveyors, planners, and environmental specialists.
The successful candidate will maintain a constructive environment that continually develops directly supervised personnel in a career-oriented way, will develop area operating guidelines within a sphere of supervision, assist with staffing decisions, make recommendations when reasonable variations from budget are warranted, provide insightful and enthusiastic leadership that generally creates positive attitudes and builds supportive morale, maintain open communication and a harmonious working relationship with all personnel, keep the Director of Landscape Architecture informed of job progress and client needs or other issues that may arise in the course of the job, delegate duties which occasionally may be required to meet a deadline, develop procedures to make communication more effective and improve profitability, and establish and maintain all external relationships in a manner that is consistent with company objectives.

Qualified candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and Word, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketchup. Experience with Land F/X is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is required.
Most projects are located within northern California. Current design projects include design and development of parks, playgrounds, recreational spaces, commercial campuses, healthcare facilities, public right-of-way landscapes and more. Compensation for the position is based on education, knowledge, skills, attitude, and experience.
