The Landscape Architects Technical Committee (LATC) is reviewing existing education and training requirements for licensure “to ensure that there are no barriers to the landscape architect profession for qualified individuals.” ASLA California Council has drafted a response opposing any broadening of the existing requirements, with suggestions for an appeals process for individual cases and adoption of a future ‘best practices’ model for licensure reciprocity. If you would like to voice an opinion on this issue, feedback will be accepted by LATC until April 17. Letters can be mailed to: LATC, 2420 Del Paso Road, Suite 105, Sacramento, CA 95834; or sent to latc@dca.ca.gov.
