New this summer is an app for locating public gardens ‘from Monterey to Humbolt Bay’. You can search Northern California gardens by style, by cost or by county. Each entry includes a fair bit of detail on the garden and, of course, photos, hours of operation, contact information, and a map. The most interesting take on this listing are the 25 different garden styles through which you can filter your searches, including culinary, nurseries, community, historic, rooftop/vertical, and stairways. All in all, it’s a sweet little app great for using on roadtrips up and down the coast, and is well worth the few bucks.
