2013 Advocacy Day
Each year, ASLA advocates travel from across the country to Washington, D.C. to advocate for policy issues important to the landscape architecture profession. During their congressional visits, landscape architects strive to raise the visibility of the profession with legislators and key staff and educate them on the many ways that landscape architects provide solutions to a myriad of problems facing our nation. Check out National’s webinars on how landscape architects can ensure successful meetings with legislators and shape federal policy.
Be an Advocate for the Profession
The flyers can be used in many ways; students who are deciding what area to focus on, landscape architects and allied design professionals who want to explore the idea of working in the public realm, and for increasing general public awareness. Print some out and leave them around your studio or multi-disciplinary work environment; maybe people will start to start to say, “I didn’t know landscape architects could do that!”
Below are additional flyers and handouts created by ASLA National to raise public awareness and promote the profession.
