The Great Shasta Rail Trail Design Workshop

In February 2013, twenty professionals and volunteers from the American Society of Landscape Architects, the National Park Service, and the Great Shasta Rail Trail Core Team met in Sacramento, CA for a day-long design workshop. The volunteer landscape architects from the Northern California Chapter included Dave Mitchell, Chris Kent and John Stevenson. The vision for the project is to develop an 80-mile scenic multi-use trail along an existing rail bed between the towns of McCloud and Burney, near Mt. Shasta, California.
