Free Screening of ‘The Professor’ featuring Chip Sullivan: Landscape Architect

For those that have taken a studio or watercolor class from Charles “Chip” Sullivan (Professor of Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design), it’s not surprising that he has been made the subject of his own documentary. Sullivan’s distinctive style and creative enthusiasm are infectious, as can be seen on his website, gonzogardens.com.

The film is directed by two time Emmy Award winner Allan Holzman, and produced by  Nejat Merey, a USC cinematic arts student. Viewers are propelled into the “visual relationship between nature and man, visualizing how we see, how we dream and how we invent.” The documentary explores Sullivan’s life, art and philosophy, with a focus on his exciting and invigorating teaching style which incorporates animation, art, and imagination.
