google map screenshotLandscape architects use a lot of different maps in their work, from preparing graphics to virtual site visits, to just finding directions to visit sites. 2012 saw a lot of changes in the digital maps that are available online. One nice change was the addition of 45 degree angle views for Google Maps. Talking Points Memo’s IdeaLab has a round up of last year’s digital mapping changes, including improvements to Google Maps and its growing competition from OpenStreetMap and Nokia.
